Superhit legend of sindhi music Master Chandur


Master Candur, a legend of sindhi music, was born in Thoroshahon 07 December 1907,His real name was chandu Nal Damowani. He is the only and beloved child of his paradise. His early education was at tharoshah district N. Feroz, sindh. He worked in public works department at Nawabshah, During his job at karachi he opened many schools for music where he used to give trainging of music to the music lover, that's whe he os known as master chandur. Master Chandur had passion for music since his childhood and he started singing drawing rooms, orchards and parties. Born in a zamindar family  where singing was considering as '' taboo ''. He faced odds ing acquiring rightful place in the field of music in Sindh.

Among his teachers in music were Jeevat Ram Mitai, Khan sahab barrey Ghulam Ali Khan, Khan sahib Ashique and others. He brought news trends in music. He was first to sing kalam and songs of love of in sindhi language.

 His listeners and admirers forgot themselves on the tunes of his singing.
He recorded many ghazals and Geet for sindhi and urdu movies on gramophone. He recorded his first song '' suhna arz ahe '' in 1992,There must be thousands of songs sung by Master Chandur, chandur was a melody singer.

He also took part as an actor in Indian sindhi Film '' abhanna'' in 1958. Besides he also performed in various other films like '' Dilaram '' and mout ka tofan in which he played as hero. Many of his fans used to spend millions of Rupees and gold for watching his concert. After partition he migragted to sindh to india and lived at kolkata. His songs are still broadcasted fron india radio station, his whole career spanned for 55 years. He died 0n 3rd November 1984.
