Religious scholar, poat and literary personality Molwi Haji Ahmed Mallah


Haji Ahmed Mallah was born on 11th February 1877 at village Kandi deh, loohann, district Badin.His father name Nango Mallah. Haji Ahmed Mallah had been a famous religious slScholar, poet and a literary person. He was a shephered childhood but later in growing age become keen to learn. He studied Badin, Bhugra Memon, Yooha, Sajawal other cities. His first teacher was Hafiz Abdullah Mandro and the last, Milana Khair Muhammad Magsi. Although he belonged to a poor family but his character, behavior and intelligence were rich. After completion of his education he started teaching the  subject. He also took an active part in Khalifa Movement. Fearing from his powerful speeches, the government imprisoned his. After he was released he taught Arabic at "mazhar ul Uloom" the madarsa of Pir Ali Shah. He left this madarsa in 1932 during sunni-wahabi Movement, and opened his personal one at Badin. Where he appointed famous scholar like, Molvi Gul Muhammad, Molvi Abdul Wahad, Molvi Abdul Ghafoor and Molvi Mehmood Alam. Now a day this madarsa is known as Muslim school Gharibabad.
A mosque built beside it reminds us of his memories.  His poetic powar has earned him a great name. He has fought against false beliefs,social evils and so called norms and values of sindhi society. To undertake this task, he has written following books:
1 Marfat Allah 
2 Hekrai e Ahmed
3 Paigham e Amed 
4 Deewan e Ahmed
5 Israr e Illahi 
His great work is the poetic translation of Quran Sharif with the name noor ul quran. He is the first and only person who has translated Quran in poetry. This Quran published in 1977, Due to this great work his name shall ever be remembered.
His poetry has unique quality. It is broadcasted Radio Pakistan. 
Molvi Haji Ahmed Mallah died on 19th July 1969.
