CEADIAN Architects display designing models made from junk/waste material


Jamshoro(Press Release) The students of Centre of Excellence in Art & Design (CEAD), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro organized an exhibition to display models made from junk and wasted material. 
Director CEAD Prof. Dr. Bhai Khan Shar and Chairman of Architecture Department University of Engineering and Technology Lahore Dr. Arif jointly inaugurated the exhibition held at Architecture Department by third year students. They were accompanied by Head of Department of Architecture Prof. Atta Bullo, Iftikhar Kandhir and Project Supervisor Mehnaz Soomro. 
The students prepared more than 60 projects of interior designing to decorate homes, offices and other working places. All models were made from junk material like ice-cream sticks, bottle caps, CDs, car tires, glasses, machine parts, marriage cards, bicycle wheel, lipstick stand, candle stand, broken bangles, spoon, rubber, newspapers, fused bulbs, body spray, old calendars and other things. 
The models included lamps, chairs, showcases, beauty boxes, dressing tables, photo frames, mirrors, archery game, enlightened bottles, nest, colored wheels, thread painting, basket made from newspaper pages, solar lamp, wall clock and other products. 
Addressing the inauguration ceremony Director CEAD, Prof. Dr. Bhai Khan Shar and Dr. Arif said that the students deserve full appreciation for proving the idea that nothing is wasted in this universe. They said that this type of performance is not only a model display but it has a very deep message regarding the importance of tiny things present around us
